Who We Are

Honest, Practical AI Guidance for UK Television

After starting out as an analytical chemist in the pharmaceutical world, I moved into UK television in 2008 and built a career across some of the country’s biggest factual and format brands. I cut my teeth directing new formats before moving into senior leadership roles on returning series. I have Directed, Series Produced and Exec Produced major titles for the BBC, Channel 4 and global streamers, including The Repair Shop, Inside the Factory, The One Show, Food Unwrapped, Diagnosis Detectives and the BAFTA and Emmy winning D-Day: As It Happened. I am known for clear thinking under pressure, strong editorial judgement, calm management of large teams, and the ability to deliver high volume, sensitive or complex productions on time and on budget.

My background in science and journalism means I take a grounded, evidence-based approach to AI. I am not here to sell hype or ‘drink the Kool Aid’! I am here to help the industry understand what these tools can realistically do, where they fall short, and how to use them safely. I hold a Professional Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Business (Distinction), along with further training in prompt engineering, automation and generative AI strategy. I also hold the Level 3 Award in Education and Training and have a long track record of workplace training, both in the TV production and science industries. Through Tellygen, I combine my experience as a trusted showrunner with technical knowledge of emerging AI tools, offering practical, objective guidance to help UK television navigate the shift ahead without losing the creativity, integrity and humanity that define our industry. We are a CPD approved training provider and our courses are certified, so you have the peace of mind you're receiving independently vetted and verified course material.
